Mediteranean sailing boat (yellow)

Long threatened with extinction and replaced by boats made of modern materials, the pointu is now the object of real passion. Associations and shipwrights restore the old wooden boats, and lateen sail gatherings bring together lovers of this maritime heritage every year along the Provençal coast.

Our yellow pointu with lateen sail pays tribute to this boat, which is part of the coastline's identity. It is about 12 cm long and goes with our 6 cm santons. Its bright color stands out against a mirror sea or blue paper, and it pairs well with the blue, red, and green versions of the same model.

It is made by hand in our Aix-en-Provence workshop, then brush-painted by our painters. Beyond the Nativity scene, it makes a lovely souvenir of Provence for lovers of the sea and old sailing boats. Our family has worked in its Aix workshop since 1934.

Our seaside scenery is displayed in the shop-workshop on cours Gambetta, or at our exhibitions. The pointu is protected with paper and bubble wrap before being secured in its box; it ships within 2 to 3 business days.
